The Cheeky Monkeys Childminding Group are walking 26.2 miles in aid of Breast Cancer on Saturday 12th May 2012 in their bra’s! The route starts and finishes in Hyde Park at midnight.

The Virgin London Marathon is one of the great British sporting events, combining elite athletics, mass participation and record-breaking fundraising in one race. The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall.

The 1st of March is world book day. as childminders we don’t have access to the book vouchers issued to schools and nurseries however you can buy the books on Amazon for £1 and hold an event in your setting for which each child brings £1

I CAN’s Chatterbox Challenge is an annual fundraising event for childminders, nurseries and children’s groups. Children aged 0-5 have a great time developing their communication skills by singing songs and rhymes to raise money for children who struggle with their speech and language.
The Chatterbox Challenge 2012 will take place between 1- 7 February and with 2012 set to be a special and lively year the theme will be Kids in Motion, which means lots of movement, lots of chatter and above all lots of fun! If you cannot do your Challenge during this week, please feel free to pick another time that suits you.
