Smartphones & Tablets Viewing

We are very excited to announce that the Essential Childminder Magazine will soon be available to view on your smartphones and tablets.

We know this is an aspect of the magazine you have been asking for so we are happy to be able to make this available for you. You will now be able to read each edition wherever you are without having to turn on your computer.

This availability will become instant for all current and future subscribers, you won’t need to do anything, simply log in as you would normally via your browser from your smartphone or tablet.

New EYFS Editions

With the release of the revised EYFS, the areas of learning will be changing slightly as from September 2012.

Starting from our May 2012 edition we will be bringing you all of our usual themed activities and planning support in-line with the revised EYFS areas of learning. Although for the next 4/5months you will need to continue to base your planning around the current EYFS framework, this new magazine format will assist you in preparing for the change over in September.

Through the eyes of the child

We are launching our new Children’s Digital Gallery page next week.

Click here to find out just how important access to a digital camera can be for your childminding practice, how it enables the children to ‘talk’ to you and how cameras assist in the children’s learning and development.

Discover the world through the eyes of a child and send your photos in to us at info@essentialchildminder.co.uk and please include the ages of the children. You won’t need permission if there are no children’s faces in the photos (and they will probably be fairly blurry anyway!) Any comments made by the children to compliment the photos or stories behind the photos are also welcomed.
